Job Title: Technical Underwriter (Motor)

Job Title: Technical Underwriter (Home & Let)

Locations: Flexible (Homeworking considered)

You’ll be joining a team of technical underwiring experts in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The team promotes profitable growth of the Prestige Underwriting Account by identifying opportunities for development and implementing corrective action if required.  

Purpose of the role

 You will be undertaking regular reviews of our Prestige Underwriting products and conducting competitor analysis in order to increase our position within the market.

You will also assist with the maintenance of Prestige Underwriting product literature, support with audits and play an active part in team projects.

The Person

You will thrive on autonomy and have the expert knowledge to improve and develop our products using your great eye for detail.

You will value building and maintaining strong working relationships with brokers and strive to push Prestige Underwriting to the forefront within the insurance market.

Technical Underwriter (Motor)

What we are looking for

• 5 GCSEs grade C or above, or equivalent to include Maths and English/or commensurate experience
• Substantial Motor Insurance/Underwriting experience
• Insurance market knowledge
• Experience of analysing data, producing reports and making recommendations

Technical Underwriter (Home & Let)

What we are looking for

• 5 GCSEs grade C or above, or equivalent to include Maths and English/or commensurate experience
•  Substantial Household and Let Underwriting experience
• Insurance market knowledge
• Experience of analysing data, producing reports and making recommendations
• Working knowledge of EDI and software house products

Who we are looking for

• An effective communicator with the ability to negotiate and influence effectively at all levels using a variety of media
• Team player
• Organiser who can use their own initiative and work to tight deadlines meticulously

You will work Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. 

This role can be carried out within any of our Group sites with consideration given to home working.
