A broker specialising in properties undergoing renovations, property conversions and property developer risks approached us to insure an unoccupied property on behalf of a valued client.
The property is being converted from a former children’s nursery into 4 self-contained flats, all to be sold. The property had been unoccupied for just over 2 years at the point of quote and is to undergo a £150,000 works project.
Planning permission was reviewed by us and found to be in order. Our Underwriting team offered full perils - excluding subsidence, landslip, heave and AD to underground services. We were also able to compete with a target premium provided by the broker.
